Nine from six
Dürer’s nonagon of 1525. Keep the opening of the rosette, divide its upward radius in three, and raise a perpendicular at the first third: where it meets the petal lies the side. Dürer does not call it approximate. Each step spans 39.59 degrees instead of 40, so nine steps leave 3.65 degrees open, ringed in red.
